Gold Star Award

Welcome to Wes Watkins Technology Center! Since 1987, WWTC has been helping area residents achieve their career goals and improve their way of life.

WWTC is dedicated to helping every student succeed. Well-equipped classrooms and computer labs enhance the student's learning capabilities. Our district serves portions of four counties: Okmulgee, Okfuskee, Hughes, and McIntosh, which include nine partner schools.

WWTC prepares students for careers and gives a competitive advantage to compete for the best jobs. We strive to be a school of first choice and offer education in health, construction and mechanical trades, business and information technology, and STEM. Programs are designed to have rigorous, challenging career technical content. Students will have the opportunity to earn industry certifications and/or licensure leading to employment and/or additional education preparing for high demand, high skilled, high wage occupations.

WWTC is a proud member of Oklahoma's distinguished CareerTech system. We are recognized by the Oklahoma Association of Technology Centers as a 27-time winner of the prestigious Gold Star School Designation, and is one of only 5 schools in the nation to receive the first Gold Improvement Award from the Technology Centers That Work (TCTW) initiative.

28 Years of Gold Star Status

WWTC was awarded the prestigious Gold Star School Award of Excellence again this year by the Oklahoma Association of Technology Centers (OATC).

The Gold Star Award Program honors only those schools which meet rigid and demanding criteria, maintain quality standards, and demonstrate exemplary programs designed to meet a broad spectrum of community needs.

This is the 28th year WWTC has achieved this designation.
