Early Care and Education Specialist

Early Care in Education Specialist

This program prepares students for a rewarding career in education, child development, and child care. It is designed for students with an interest in caring for and teaching children. Students apply concepts learned in the classroom as they work with children in a licensed child care facility or public school classroom. This program provides a balance of theory and practical experience. Students learn theories and techniques to plan and present activities that are developmentally appropriate for the age of the children. ELCCT, Assistant Teacher, and Master Teacher certification tests are embedded throughout the program and will aid and increase the starting salary/benefits from an employer.
