Firefighter Training

Firefighter Training
Wes Watkins Technology Center works closely with local volunteer fire departments to provide valuable training in an effort to support our local communities. WWTC has annual firefighter training options provided through OSU Fire Training Service, as well as WWTC adjunct instructor-led training.

Trainings offered at WWTC may include, but are not limited to:

Advanced Fire Behavior

Basic CPR and First Aid

EVDT-Emergency Vehicle Driver Training

Fire Behavior

Firefighter Safety

Fundamentals of Wildland

Hose, Nozzles, and Fire Streams

Tanker Safety

VRT1- Vehicle Extrication

In order to participate, individuals must be a current member of a recognized volunteer fire department or a volunteer of a municipal fire department. Featured training is offered tuition-free, however, due to limited firefighter initiative funding, additional training may incur a fee.
